Hi Trudy - I'd be happy to help them out where I can :) edna groups is really for educators to collaborate with other educators. Also the space is for educators who may wish to run part or their whole course online. So we have quite a few "students" who are studying VET modules, training/pre-service teachers, Higher ed students and people who are involved in Adult and Community Education "students" who are using the edna groups moodle. The distinction of "student" comes with school students - OzProjects is our moodle schools space. So if school teachers want to have their classes online using moodle we would put them into Ozprojects. It has several public collaborative projects and also spaces for private school groups, distance education groups, online school clubs etc. We specifically try to tailor the OzProjects site to cater for school students K-12 eg. language used, enrolment process, easy access/navigation, and attractiveness/activities for early years students etc.

Hi Trudy. What a great idea as an assessment task for your students. I can certainly help you to get your students started making an OzProject. I could show you the process or work directly with your students- whichever suits best. There is a basic template we can unpack to create the project shell. The project creator then just has to add their own content and activities. I will be back in the office on Monday so feel free to give me a call and we can take it from there.

Hey Trudy, July holidays are always a great time of year for the 'call of the AFL in Melbourne'. I'll be cheering on the soaring Hawks and hopefully hitting the snow fields - as long as there is some snow! Get David Horsell to get stuck into ALL the coaches to present. Many could simply talk about the courses we offer, or give an introduction to a particuluar course. Kent Barker from Electroboard night also do some sessions.
