Using the File|New menu to create sub-documents based on a rich set of standard templates, then linking these subdocuments into a master document on Outline mode, is an easy and quick way to create component-based standard documents. But in the end we found that most staff preferred to use a single document rather than have to deal with the difficulty of a master document. Editing a single document in outline mode, using template where each component is under a level-1 heading seems to achieve much the same result. I'm hoping for a higher level of acceptance for the standard unit outline and workbook structure using the single document approach. Cheers, CF

I'm using Master documents in MS Word to amalgamate sub-documents to form an institute standard document for unit outlines. Has anyone else tried this approach.
