i-pods, podcasting, i-tunes are apart of every shoolbag just like pencils and pens...if we want to reach kids then everyone needs to get hold of this trend that is only going to get stronger. I've been showcassing videos from SkillsOne to those who are looking into their future careers. Theses videos are free and available for download on i-tunes. For those of you who haven't come across SkillsOne- it is a television and website that is dedicated to profiling the success stories and capturing the passion of tradesmen and women in Australia. You can see videos here www.skillsone.com.au. Hope this is helpful. Gemma

Hi Kerry, I am currently doing my Diploma of e-learning and I am very interested to see how podcasting could be incorporated into an online classroom. I think that this would be a very affective tool. Do you have any suggested web addresses I could goto to research this further?

I'm experimenting with the first edition of E-learning Insights for 2008 by opening it up for Vox Pops from listeners. In Sandpit Groups, we have a Wimba Voice board tool set up (related to Live Classroom) that allows users to record via a recorder embedded on the page. There is then the ability to download the audio file as an MP3 or .WAV. I plan on stitching the responses together as a podcast. I've also told listeners that they can contribute via email and I"ll read it out for them. Here is the site - I see Penelope has already contributed, thanks for that! :^ D http://sandpit.edna.edu.au/course/view.php?id=118
